I inherited too many cats, more than a man should own.
My task was clear, to downsize the lot and find some cats a new home.
First I counted thirteen cats, hot-diggity-diggity darn!
I trapped a cat and found it a home with a lady that lives on a farm.
Next morning I counted only twelve cats, hot-diggity-diggity dog!
I trapped another and found it a home. Hot diggity-diggity dog!
Each morning I trapped one more cat, hot-diggity-diggity-dog!
Each cat I found a lovely new home, hot diggity-diggity-dog!
One morning I counted only ten cats, hot diggity-diggity-dog!
Trapped another and found it a home, hot diggity-diggity-dog!
Yes,I like cats, but enough is enough. I don't want to be cat-hog.
One more day and the count was at nine. Hot diggity-diggity-dog!
Less and less cats every day. Oh how happy I am!
This morning I counted thirteen cats! Diggity-diggity Damn!

Shadow Man
There moves a shadow into my room,
A silly shadow, dark and staggering,
Falling about from left to right.
It's going to be a long and silent night.
The shadow lies so close to me,
But I do not love it nor want to touch it.
I dare not discuss my thoughts with him,
For he reminds me much too much of me.
I turn out the light and send him on his way.
